Shipping costs include materials, handling and insurance. Each shipped work includes an artist’s label. Fine Art Prints are sealed in a mylar sleeve and rolled in cardboard tubes. Originals and framed works are double wrapped using thicker cardboard, foam or bubble wrap and puncture proof materials when necessary.
Artworks of differing sizes have unique proportions. Accordingly, the dimensions of each of our prints vary slightly from one image to the next. Each is trimmed custom and includes a small border. They are listed online by paper size. An “8.5x11in” print has an image size close to 8x10in and works well in 11x14in frames. The “13x19in” prints have an image size around 12x16in. and look great in 16x20in frames. These suggestions are for convenience, please explore custom framing options to bring out the best in your collection.
We recommend using conservation quality framing materials to protect and preserve artoworks. Simply put, this means using acid-free mat boards, backings and adhesives with UV filtering plexiglass or glass.
We work hard to ensure that our Fine Art Prints are lifelike, accurate representations of the original artworks. We print with pigment-based archival inks for vivid, lasting color and use top of the line cotton fine art papers to create permanent, beautiful images.
My watercolors are painted on rough or cold-pressed paper, I love the Arches or Saunders sheets. Quartersheets work well for outdoor painting. Once torn to size, I tape them to plywood and clip them to a tripod. I love to paint on location and often use water from the ocean or a nearby stream. Primarily I rely on tube colors made by Winsor and Newton. My chosen palette includes a warm and cool version of each primary (Red, Yellow and Blue), several earth colors (Siennas, Ochres and Umbers), plus the occasional green or novelty.
