THIS ARTWORK
Here is a uniquely abstract watercolor painted one Friday afternoon before the Friday Night Art Walk started. Kauai’s epic south side always reminds me of the southwest U.S which inspired a design in a manner after Georgia O’Keeffe. The sharp, spikey leaves of the Halapepe Tree were centrally placed behind which I floated pools of the color seen in the bougainvillea on the hill above the old town.
THE ORIGINAL
A 9 x 12 in. watercolor hand painted “en plein air” on Arches 100% cotton, 140lb. rough watercolor paper using Winsor & Newton’s artist grade colors and sea water from the actual location.
THE PRINTS
We take excellent care to ensure that the Fine Art Prints of my artworks are accurate and vivid representations of the originals. Naturally, we print them ourselves with premium, archival materials to guarantee the quality lasts.
