ABOUT THIS PRINT
This is print is from a series of mixed media paintings that feature a robust application of acrylic colors and collaged magazine clippings embedded within the paint layers. These paintings are a response to and celebration of Hawaii’s marvelous variety of tropical fruit. Each is a chance to explore painterly abstraction within representation, borrow from personal favorites like O’keefe and Cezanne, and express ideas about my island experiences using small, often surprising collaged elements.
