THIS ARTWORK
This painting depicts Hanalei’s famous pier at Black Pot Beach at midday. Bright sun illuminates the water from above and so people watch the gentle surf from the shade at the end of the pier. Clouds like these are often seen over the mountains as the wet tropical air condenses over the land and they lend pristine blue colors and atmosphere to the island on the other side of the bay.
